Look What Interrupted My Blog Today!

I was just sitting down for "blog time". I wanted to look at some of my settings and try to post some pictures up on the side of each of my kids and their ages (like all the other normal blogs out there :). I had already sent my three oldest outside on one of the last few hot days with a yummy Magic Bullet (it's an amazing little blender) drink made up of Rocky Road icecream and milk (and No, I didn't have one myself).  Next thing I know I was interrupted by Taylor and Jack both trying to tell me something. I gathered that Taylor was trying to say something about Audrey and Jack was trying to say it wasn't his fault (typical). Audrey soon followed. I took one look at her and sent her back outside for this picture and then inside to a bath (which eventaully overflowed:). I would have just hosed her off, but it wasn't that warm outside.

If you can't tell, her drink was all down the front of her shirt, on her chest and dripping down her cheeks and chin. I finally found out that she had been swinging and tried to take a drink at the same time. You get the idea, right?
Here's another one.

Don't worry. I didn't make her stand there too long. She got a nice warm bath and was soon happy again.

BONUS!  Here is a picture of a recent visitor. "Grandma Krawczyk" holds Sonya (1 month old) for the first time.

We are blessed to have so many non-relatives who have made themselves Grandparents, Aunts or Uncles.

One thing I have discovered about blogging is instead of being frustrated with Audrey's dirty clothes and having to stop and give her a bath, I was thinking what a fun blog post the situation would make. It helps me see the humor in sticky situations (literally). :)

Sonya & Family

Sonya and Daddy! Sonya is 3 1/2 weeks old.

Here I am in my "uniform" as Aunie Sarah called it. Meaning that it is the only thing I fit right now! :(   :)

Jack is just tickled about something.

All smiles again!

Mom talks to Sonya about sleeping all night and how it's a good thing to do.   :)

Peaceful Sonya with a sweet hat from Grandma Cherie and outfit from Uncle Ben and Auntie Mahea.

Auntie Christal's Barber Shop

When Jack needs a haircut I send him to Auntie Christal. For some reason he doesn't cry when she cuts his hair. I think hair must somehow avoid boy's eyes and mouths at Auntie Christal's house. Or maybe her candy to eat during haircuts is better than mine. Whatever the reason is I don't mind. She does a great job and Jack is happy. I mentioned the other day (after a hair cut) that we should get a prize for Auntie Christal. Jack, (not quite understanding) opened his mouth and said. "She already gave me one!" He pointed to the candy on his tongue. Anyway, we decided on a rose. "A pink one", Jack said. I got the rose and Jack took it to her.
Jack was all dressed up that day as a knight which made the whole scene even more old fashioned. (costume from Grandma Cherie)

Thank you, Auntie Christal.

Taylor, my assistant photographer, took these.  :)

Slow down, Sonya!

Sonya Leigh is growing extremely fast. She is three weeks old today. She likes to eat and sleep. I'm trying to spend as much time just looking at her in the middle of all the craziness. She is very used to noise and can sleep through most anything that we do during the day (unlike me :) .  At night she can be very wide-eyed and animated. It's a toss up between trying to sleep or just enjoying looking at her.

Here are a few more pictures.

How peaceful she looks!

More pictures coming soon...

First Day of School

Today was Taylor's first day of school. She was so excited! Actually, she has been excited about starting school since she first found out months and months ago. I'm the one who wasn't so sure at first :).  Last night she had a hard time calming down enough to sleep.

Her dad helped her get everything "just right" in her school bag the night before. (sorry about the blurriness)

I'm thinking the "thumbs up" means she's all set to go.

This morning she opened her special "First Day of School" present from Auntie Sarah. She read the card by herself.

Wow! A shiny new "hello kitty" watch. Thank you, Auntie Sarah!

Just one more shot of Taylor I had to include.

Sonya's Milestones

Sonya Leigh at one week with Auntie Naomi. Naomi stayed for a whole week and really helped me alot. Thanks Naomi!

Sonya was nine days old when she got her first real bath. "Don't get it in her eyes, C'mon Taylor", dad says.

Sonya at a week and a half with Uncle Sam (who came to visit on a Saturday).

Somehow I didn't get a picture of Grandma Cherie with Baby Sonya, but this picture one of my children took and I like the "up close and personal"ness of the shot. I hope Grandma doesn't mind. Thank you Grandma for staying with us after Sonya was born.  It really made coming home more relaxing.

This one really got me. She looks like she's thinking, "Who are you and where am I?"

I'll be back soon with more pictures. Notice I didn't say stories. I think it might be a little while before I can put time into more typing than these short captions.
