I always put Lucy's in a "special" stack on top of my refridge, then every few days the stack quietly "disappears" without anyone noticing. That way if Lucy wants to show daddy her latest masterpieces they're available for a few days...
Good idea, Mary! I think Audrey must just be a little older and can tell when anything hits the garbage no matter how far I push it down. We are trying a rotating system, now. We'll see how it goes.
